I started training dogs in 1986 a year after starting up a boarding kennel in BridgewaterMassachutes. At that point in my life, the kennel was more of a business opportunity. I had owned only 1 dog up to then, he was such a good little guy I never needed to do any training with him.

So on a whim, I started asking clients who were boarding their dogs if they would like to have some free obedience training with their dogs while they were on vacation. To my surprise, everyone said yes. Thus my road to self-discovery began, soon realizing that I had a gift in my ability to work with dogs and later in my life learned with horses as well.

Fast forward to today. Over that period of time, I have helped dog owners from all walks of life as well as improving the lives of over a thousand dogs. I came to realize the type of behavioral issues that owners want to resolve tend to be limited to a dozen or so. But the creative process to reach out in new ways to change their dog’s behavior not by force, but by enhancing and improving their relationship with their owners is my greatest pleasure.
